A Dark Happily Ever After Part II

by La Reina De Corazones   Dec 10, 2012

Thy "lost bride"
Wondering the streets all alone,
The clock kept ringing 24 o'clock,
And still Rain couldn't hold his former bride anymore,

Wearing only the shadows the "lost bride" didn't want to be seen underneath the sun nor the moon,
"Better lost than found and throw to the side",
She was always told,

Coming from the land of the Ashes she was a queen of her own right,
Rain had always been the one she had to be "with",
Yet her fairy-tale wasn't written that way,

Upon the hour that was all of her own,
Darkness kept seducing her day in and day out,
Yet that queen's heart still belonged to her former groom,

Marrying for the family's honor,
Storing that innocent battered heart in a treasure box,
Walking forward to the alter she halts,
This wasn't going to be her "ever after"....

i just want comments please and thank you this is the 2nd part of the story and tell me if i should continue with this story or not... thanks!

Nice presented details! The last stanza is my favorite, especially its 2nd line, the "treasure box".
    Nicely penned.

I like this one too, although not quite as much as the first one for some reason. It's still very beautiful, but some of the imagery was repeated from the first...I'm definitely waiting for the third one though!
