Cinnamon Dreams 2

by Mermaids Lullaby   Dec 20, 2012

Reminiscing upon four winters ago
when I sipped cinnamon flavor coffee
and nibbled at honey-bread delight
with a dream now all but forgotten

Wide awake, living another nightmare
I stand alone in a Turkish spice shop
tasting the bitter sunrise of a new day
which I irreversibly surrendered too

If a wish to turn back time came true
I'd remain loyal to that favored aroma
Blend with him into the frosty night and
create a perfumed cloud of our existence

I love the imagery in this piece. It is wonderul and the senses were all so beautifully captured. I am in love with the simplicity of this piece and how you truly made the piece come to life by giving us the scene before why it.is so important.

    Excellently penned
