A Missing Star

by Baby Rainbow   Feb 18, 2013

A baby star falls from the sky
and he lands in a puddle of water.
Mother moon is busy sleeping,
she doesn't hear her child's cry.

He fears that he is going to drown
as the water pulls him under.
What appeared to be a puddle
now turns into the deepest river.

His little eyes can see the moon
and knows his mummy is there
but his scared tired voice
can't find the strength
he needs to call her name.

Floating in currents of hope
that the moon will open her eyes
and as she checks her children
she will notice a twinkle missing.

He wishes hard upon his tear drops
to be returned to his home again,
to be held inside his mother's arms
and be safe where he belongs.

Isn't this adorable, cute and sweet. There is no greater love than a mother love.
