I Can't Let You Go.

At first you were a stranger to me.
A friend of a friend's I thought you would always be.
Today I look back at the day we met, and realize god really does work in mysterious ways.
I had no intentions in finding my love, yet it was brought to me, like breakfast in bed.

We flirted and laughed, which we thought nothing of.
We fought about who would pay for what,
You being a gentleman put up a good fight.
No longer a stranger, nor a friend of a friend's, you were the man I wanted to be with.

Time past and we took it to the next level.
I was proud to say I was your girlfriend.
Both of us mature for our age, acted like kids when we were together.
I fell in love quicker than I ever could imagine.

We have been through a lot, memories I will never forget.
The good and the bad are always in my heart.
You bring joy to me, like no one ever has.
I love you at your worst and best, no matter what.

Everyday I pray to god that he can make it work, but it's in our hands now; he just brought us together.
God blesses the brick road that led me to you.
I believe we were meant to be, even though we're stubborn.
We've made it though so much, I can't just throw it all away.

I want too look into your deep brown eyes everyday and tell you how much I love you.
Tell you how much I need you, I want you, and I care for you.
