Divine Potion

by Jawwad Zafar   Jan 29, 2014

I never knew the raindrops falling down;
until they touched your enchanted face.
I never liked the rainfall renown;
until you rushed to dance on its pace.

Colors I used to see were dusky and pale;
You filled me with each color of life.
The beauty within you is what I inhale;
In your absence, this heart strife.

I skip a beat when you walk past this human;
Your aroma is still fresh, as a morning ray.
This sweet disposition and brilliant acumen;
Compelled this frail body to sway.

Your presence makes the darkness to gleam;
You've quenched my soul like an ocean.
You're someone perfect, a precise dream;
An elixir of life, a drop of divine potion.
