Brighter Times

by ExoSin   Oct 27, 2014

-
I'm off in thoughts, and 'absinthe minded',
Falling through the hoops provided.
I'm floating through this life divided,
I'm lost in thought... But I've decided:
-
I'll take life tight by the controller.
"While in Rome...", Let's take it over.
Kill the King, and bring Rome closer.
I'm searching for my four-leaf clover.
-
But in the meadow in my head no flora can be found.
I'm standing over vast expanses, fast expanding now.
The skies are crying, rain is falling calmly to the ground.
In this I place my hopes today, my clover just may sprout.
-
If my wastes stay barren though,
Well then therein lays my goal.
I'll break the dams that I've safeguarded,
That barricade my soul.
I'll blow the bulkheads miles high -
And flood my head with hope;
And then perhaps I'll come to love
The wastelands that we roam.
