Habitual Heart

by Beauty Within These Pages of Darkness   May 20, 2015

Imagining you here with me,
Seeing, hearing and feeling you,
Far away, yet so close,
Filling my heart with hope.

The habits of my heart,
Right from when the beats start,
You make your loyal mark,
Oh, I never want to let you go.

Give me a pill to talk slow,
Going with the medicated flow.
Of the addiction that is perpetual,
Not to mention deeply habitual.

The habits of my heart,
Right from when the beats start,
You make your loyal mark,
Oh, I never want to let you go.

I no longer feel completely alone,
You flow through my blood and bones,
Thanking the heavens that you exist,
When I get lost in time as we kiss.

The habits of my heart,
Right from when the beats start,
You make your loyal mark,
Oh, I never want to let you go.

Losing my way in a dream instead,
Having to reason with myself,
As to why you are inside my head,
Memories of you making my heart melt.

The habits of my heart,
Right from when the beats start,
You make your loyal mark,
Oh, I never want to let you go.

My sweetest and dearest love,
I'm still seeing, hearing and feeling you,
Please stay with me forever close,
Because the love I feel for you only god truly knows.
