My Diverse Family

by DarkNDangerous   Jun 16, 2016

Murdered was the diverse,
Collapsed by the rounds of the hateful,
Carried by the hopeful,
Supported and remembered by the different,
Uprising opinions exceedingly diverse.

Slaughtered was the love,
Promised by religious scripture,
Vanished into selfish animosity filled ideology,
Morphed into labeled conviction,
As trepidation sinks into butchered love.

Slain was the lost,
Rested on the rigid crimson disadvantage,
As the dim flashing lights released comfort,
While the dance of the beautiful colors united,
When humanity was lost.

Eradicated are the laws,
As it twists into a barbwire demise,
Spiking into rights of the misfits,
Assured to protect the righteous normality,
Fabricated free land mounted upon discriminating laws.

Destroyed is the safety,
As fictitious as the authority that defends us,
Obscured by the assurance of acceptance,
Shielding us with the fame of the malevolent that piles the bodies,
Suppressed victims from the side effects of safety.

Executed is the family,
Forced to tangle together stronger than blood,
Brothers and sisters of the rejected,
Disowned by chromosome relations,
Bounded by undeterred affectionate newfound family.
