Breaking the Ice

by Someone Invisible   Aug 7, 2016

I pressed my lips to yours
But when I pulled away
My face had gone numb;
I knew right then you were mine.

So buried beneath the ice
You tried hard to push me away
For you had never been warmed;
I knew right then Id be your living flame.

So close to the heat that you were
There were nights that were soaking wet
For my flame opened you up;
I knew right then I'd be the one to heal you.

I pressed my lips to yours
But when I pulled away
It was to see a smiling face;
I knew right then I was yours.
