Pirate

by Faithless Watermelon   Sep 7, 2016

Med and bait and heart in wait!
Nary tallow frail and hallowed -
laugh built lines on concubines,
an ochre mask, eternal task.

Grief and hook and tears mistook!
Tuneless destiny and absent key!
Wart emblazoned footsteps hasten
with feckless trust, a reckless must.

Goad and grace and swift embrace!
Callow tarry, meek and merry;
shunted daybreak hunting keepsakes.
Nestled fervor, heartbreak murmurs.

Head and hate and bedded weight!
Harry shallow, hailed and shadowed!
Gaff-guilt signs nailed on lions
missing why's, kissing cries.

Soul and stirrup and vein and syrup!
I see you in sleep that I've tried to keep.
Weathered hands pilfer dreamless sands.
Always and forever, given and unsevered.
