My soul lives on

by deeplydesturbed   Sep 13, 2016

Wandering aimlessly through the winter days,
surrounded by waves of perpetual storms;
the roars of thunder deafening to the ears

~ Lightning strikes ~

A sudden shift to the end of a jetty
where the ocean coldly crashes all around
shares one final look back at a wasted life.

~ I jump ~

Falling into an endless pit of darkness,
submitting to the water's swallowing tract;
not a single regret of the choices made
as I release my final, warm breath of air.

~ I am finally at peace ~

    There's an amazing sense of freedom in just letting go...

    At least here you can explore 101 ways to do this in complete safety.

    Lovely format and good use of language.

    Well done,

    Wow Naomi-I'm torn apart. From the write standpoint itself-amazing! Such visuals on each line. From a personal side-I'm so sad! Hugs to you-

    Naomi, what a saddening piece.

    First line typo though should be through.
