A Girls First Love

by lorna   Feb 6, 2017

You where the first man in my life
My first love
You loved me unconditionally
You called me you princess or chicken
When I fell you picked me up
When I cried you wiped my tears
When I asked for a hug you bear hugged me
You had a go at me when I pushed my luck as a teen
You gave comforting words when upset
You gave me experiences of a life time I'll never forget
You held me as I cried when my heart got broken
You where everything a girl could wish for from her daddy
You taught me so many things throughout our years together
The one thing you didn't teach me was how to get over losing you
All I can do now is live my life to make you proud
one day ill see you again and hear your voice and I know you'll be waiting for me with open arms
Rip daddy

    ^^

This line is truly heart-breaking. The poem itself is a wonderful tribute to a father you clearly love dearly.
