Homeless

by Brandon Dykens   Mar 9, 2017

Homeless so many times
I wear two shirts and two pairs of pants.
Two pairs of socks and two coats
All for nothing but warmth as i don't like the discomfort.
Playing in the garbage of the grouch has taught me about it's deniability.
All the mupits have a hand not unlike the creator, in me.
Focus, moves the wind and those things you don't see.
Cycles of turning peddles in a machine that has no gears of wondering.
The chain was thrown before it was even set into the gear.
I have seen a feather with no bird but not flying birds with no feathers.
I have seen ice made with no source and melted before it had run it's course.
I have seen children scared by their guardians
Who's tears filled the night more so then even their crys.
I have seen people so lonely they gave up on life.
If this is you please sleep and awake to another day.
I hope, i pray, I am there to bribe your stay.
I never said it would be easy just well worth it.
Don't give up don't give in we are all about to win.
It is time to help the suffering and helpless as they are all
in a very literal way...
me.

You definitely gave being homeless a face. So many times we just walk by without even a sideways glance, well done-
