Size Six Nike Trainers

by Tara-Kay   Oct 2, 2017

I tell you, you're beautiful,
and you look away and I know you don't see it.

You don't wanna know
because you think you know
just what it is they're saying,
but baby, take out that head set
and listen to me.

I've got a heart that beats a little faster
when I am with you,
butterflies that flutter when I touch you,
and darling, I love you,

I wish you'd put your trust in me
like you do those size 6 Nike trainers,
like that jacket that covers up the best of you,

I'm not saying this
because it's what you want to hear,
I could lie and say I don't want you,
but you know that's not true,
I want you, I need you,
like the flowers need the rain,
like the sunshine needs it's rays.

I tell you, you're beautiful, so don't look away, you may not see it but I see you.
