Wow...this is such a powerful write and really drags some haunting feelings to the surface...those ones you try to keep hidden and pretend they don't exist. I feel this on so many levels. It's tough trying to do your best and keep that mask on and live up to the expectations of others. We don't want to let people down and want to make them happy...and there's nothing wrong with that. But when it eats away at our own happiness and keeps us from being our true selves...that's when things get tricky. Finding your own voice and the courage to speak it loud and proud is not easy...it's terrifying, actually...but absolutely worth it. Cause when we are living in our moment and accept our true authentic selves, that's when life gets interesting, and amazing, and opens so many doors and opportunities for us. Always keep doing your best and keep your head held high, cause fate has a funny way of making wonderful things happen, even when we don't expect it :)

I truly love this write, and I think you did a fantastic job conveying these deep emotions!

Much love and peace to you <3

The trouble with putting on a show for people is that its draining and hard to maintain so sooner or later people start to realise that the person you are pretending to be doesn't really exist. That's when relationships and friendships break down because the person they liked/loved was never real and then the trust has gone.

Far better to be yourself because then you know that when you make friends and meet your love interest that they will love/like your for yourself and not for the person you created.

If its college or work that's the problem ask yourself are you doing this because its something that you want to do or are you doing it for someone else to impress? If you are doing it for someone else then maybe you need to rethink what you are doing because the person your trying to impress doesn't walk in your shoes so how can they know what is going to make you happy in the long run?

You get one life and it is far to short to be anything less than the real you. Being who you are and being proud of it (providing it doesn't involve criminal activity and being mean to others) is what will bring you most self peace and happiness

All my best wishes Milly x
