Water lines

by MariAnn C.   Mar 8, 2018

Rain never forgets
It never let me forget
I stood in rain today
And my mind went for a ride
Back to a simpler time

To another storm
When my age was younger
But it helped shape a love
that never ended

Two hearts forever held
in the water and reminded of
each other and what once was
Like water lines in a fogged pane of glass

I see the eyes that comfort and torture me
And feel myself falling in love all over again
