Write about me

by Courtney Hough   Mar 12, 2018

I wish you’d write about me,
Tell me the thoughts of your heart.
Tell me, why me?
Was it from the start?

I wish you’d tell me,
In a way to make me cry.
What makes me special,
Why do you love me, why?

You know what holds my favor,
Thoughts of paper and pen.
That’s how I want to be told,
My longest dearest friend.

Words sung by your tongue,
And touched by your hand.
Let me read the feelings,
Of a strong man.

Write to tell me you love me,
Write about me, love.
Tell me all your truth and passions,
Seal it with a kiss and a hug.

I like this a lot. I will just leave with this:

The vast majority of everything you will ever need to know will be found through his actions, not his words.

He can tell you everything you want to hear, especially if he knows you... but do the actions behind those words match up to the sweet nothings? Trust me, nothing is worse than drying your eyes on old, hollow love notes.

But the opposite can be true as well. He might not know how to say it, but you'll know it when he sweeps you off of your feet.
