The Stinging Withdrawl

Barefoot you reach
for candidacy to
get partitioned.
The hatred had divided
the grass.

The suspense
was intense when
earth failed to
accept the?
defeat.

A drinking?
cloud will settle
the score with
the flames.

Consequently the?
sky falls on
all the roses, making
your vision blurred.

I like the neat little stanzas. The poem itself has lovely internal rhyme, like: suspense and intense. Also the imagery of rain/fire/clouds and my favourite - barefoot on grass, I mean, everyones got to feel that one.

I was confused the the odd placement of the question marks, perhaps that is the idea?

I feel this poem is about fuelled revenge. The poem ends well, with the sky falling onto roses and with it eyes blur and close - the end.

This poem could be a warning to the world that is so messed up and on its way to self-anihalation, or simply a more personal, individual write. Either way, I liked it.
