A Silent Lioness in the Dark RD

by Milo   Sep 16, 2018

Her universe is tilted to the rising moon,
lighting up the walls of her dismay.
The once queen hides in the darkness
behind the ageless drapes.
She sits on her lonely throne as the stars sway
above her, stars she cannot see.
And she, the Lioness cannot stop the endless time.
Like a tomb for her immortal soul,
She can decay with the waning moonlight but it's
lost now forever in this sorrowful domain below.
Her name is Silence,
Come along into the dark and see your queen.
Come along and say hello.

I have dugged with dirty fingernails for years
In the harshest environment of my soul.
And I still haven't found your darkness or
Your forbidden door.
Someone must have forgotten to kill me
before my time,
because I could still see the stars
down this horrible rabbit hole...

If love truly exists in the dark,
It'll take a special moon to light up your smile.
I hope I find you soon
and bring you the soft loving light.
Maybe then and only then,
I can hear your voice once more.
