A Driver's Nightmare!

by Sherry Lynn   Sep 10, 2004

She was crossing the street,
Just trying to go home,
A young girl of thirteen
Innocent as can be.
She stepped off her bus and
Saw that the stop sign was out,
Started forward to go home,
Walking with the crowd
Never once did she see
The car coming around the bus,
Never once did she imagine
That she would leave us in such a rush.
The bus driver sat horrified,
As this young girl hit the ground
The car never stopped,
Never even touched the brakes,
That is, not until it was too late,
Never once stopped for the flashing lights,
Never even yielded for the stop sign,
Just in a hurry to pass on by.
Due to neglect, and the hastening of a day,
A family is now torn apart,
Cause in the morgue their daughter lays.

****A REMINDER FOR ALL TO PLEASE BE CAUTIOUSE AROUND ALL SCHOOL BUSES, FOR CHILDREN DO NOT LOOK, THEY JUST DART TO GO HOME.****
