Feelings Betrayed

I'd rather look away than let you see the feelings betrayed through my eyes.
Depression and nothingness, broken promises and lies.
Heartache and defeat, abomination and despair.
Reaching out to anyone who looks like they would care.
My wings are broken, I can't fly anymore.
My eyes are bleeding, my arms and wrists are sore.
My life is ruined, destroyed and beat.
My heart is wounded, scarred and incomplete.
You've torn up my heart, you broke it in your hands.
These words are all I have, can you try to understand?
You say you love me, but I'm not "right" for you.
It makes no sense, but what I said is true.
Your true love is the greatest thing you will ever find.
Even thought this is true, I've already lost mine.
If you really love me, why can't you try?
Every time I look at you I can't help but cry.
But I guess it's OK, I don't expect you to care.
Just don't talk about feelings if they aren't really there.
Please don't say you love me, if you don't mean what you say.
The pain you've put me through, haunts me with each passing day.
I've been told many things, like things that weren't true.
But the worst lie I've been told, is a lie that came from you.
You told me you loved me, you promised true and deep.
Please don't make a promise you know you can't keep.
I don't understand, what did I do wrong?
My scarred heart is screaming a sad and broken song.
I've tried so hard to hide, locked up in my padded cell.
No matter how hard I try, God is still sending me to hell.
How can I love you so much after the pain you put me through?
How did I possibly believe it when you said "I Love You?"
No one can count the tears this pain has made me cry.
I will look away so that you don't have to see the feelings betrayed in my eyes.
