I'm afraid of losing you

by Lost Girl   Apr 1, 2005

You are the only thing that ever meant anything to me
You were the ones that created that smile upon my face
You were the kindness and happiness within my heart
But now I fear that we are only held together with the finest lace

I feel you slipping away from me, as I cry to myself
I try to hold onto you, afraid you will fall through my fingers
I want to be better and happy again just for you
But around me that ominous feeling still lingers

You held me and looked after me whenever I was down
You made me laugh when my world was closing in
You cleared the skies of rain clouds and storms
But now I am afraid that the feeing will win

I do not want to lose you, my precious little gems
I will be there for you, for as long as I am alive
I am so grateful for everything you have done for me
But I am afraid if I lose you, I will not survive

great last line, a lot of people feel like this if they lose someone that is special to them that they would be so hurt, sad, and depressed. i have writen about two poems like this. i know this feeling. excellently writen, good emotion.
