Just Another Night

Windows banging
Lightning crashing
Memories filling
Brain whiplashing

Daddy's hitting
Mommy's screaming
Memories filling
But only dreaming

Bruises swelling
Wounds are bleeding
Love and care is
All I'm needing

Daddy choking
Mommy hurting
Nothing now is
All I'm blurting

Daddy left
Mommy's dead
I just grab my teddy
And go to bed.

    Awww this poem was absolutely amazing. I loved the rhyming scheme i could almost hear a little kid chanting along to it. You really got the audience to place themselves into the poems shoes and i loved every bit of it.
