I Miss You Josh

by Insane Inside And Out   Feb 5, 2006

You're the most religious, funny,
and sweetest person anyone has known.
Maybe that's why it's so hard to
believe that you're already at Home.

I miss the high fives in the halls,
I miss your laugh that echoed off the walls.
I miss your intense blue stare, and
I don't understand why this is so unfair.

Why couldn't I have seen you one last time?
Why couldn't Amber say,
" I wish you could again be mine?"
You could always put a smile on my face,
and there's no way you'll ever be replaced.

So many wish they could have
told you how much they cared, and
that they treasured every moment
with you that they shared.
When in need anyone could talk to you,
and you somehow always helped us get through.
Sometimes I wonder if there really were
problems that nobody else knew.

That day our love for you wasn't hard to see,
and all we could say was, "It just can't be."
How could a boy who seemed to
think of life as such a blast,
cut his life short so fast?
When we heard this our hearts and
minds were shattered like glass.
Many of us said it was an accident and untrue,
and even today many of us still do.

I miss all the funny stories and jokes.
Usually I'd laugh until I choked.
I miss being able to see your face, but
I'm so glad to still bathe in your grace.
I miss you helping me watch over the boys,
and I miss t he beautiful sound of your voice.

But most of all Josh I miss you,
and I miss that great smile.
I would give anything to see you
once more for just a while.
