This Space

by Cody   Mar 9, 2006

With my arms stretched out
As far as I can reach
I hope to touch you
For these walls to breach
To show you your worth
Your effect on my life
How with one simple gesture
You can end all my strife
But so thick, is this space
That separates you and I
How this pain that I feel
Won't end with a cry
Abandoned I am
My life, without you
You were my best friend
Our bond was so true
We've built a lifetime
In the memories we share
And as you walk away
All I can do is stare
And no amount of wisdom
That I will gain from this
Will heal my heart from
How much, you, I will miss

Oh my goodness *tear*..if this poem did not describe my current status with my best friend I don't know what will...Uhh it hurts doesn't it?! Its been two weeks since I talked to my best friend over a STUPID fight and I hate it! It hurts me like crazy although I try and act all strong..I'm so sorry about whatever friendship you lost...other then a death in the family loseing a close friend causes so much pain! I really enjoyed this right though! You kept the structure going very well!
