Another Lottery Ticket

Another Lottery ticket

Paycheck cashed and I'm heading home
When I pull into the parking lot
I had to stop and buy some things
From the store that I forgot.

I gathered up the things I needed
And headed for the check out stand
with the things that I collected
Filling both my hands.

When I spied there on the counter
A chance to win some cash
A chance to win ten thousand bucks
Can you imagine that?

As I stood there at the counter
My mind was put aside
As I thought of all the things
With that money I could buy.

Wow, I could get so many things
In excitement I was caught
Moments later, I left the store
Broke but for the tickets that I bought.

I scratched off all the cards I had
No winner did I see
Now I am trying to pay my bills
'Cause I disconnected from reality.

Kinda sketchy on the rhyming, but I love the overall thought. Such a waste of money on such a little chance.
