You've Ripped The Heart From Me

by Twisted Heart   Nov 29, 2006

Another day has gone by, Night is now upon me
The moon is sending teardrops to comfort faithfully
Upon the edge of sorrow there comes a sweet embrace
That takes away the memories that time can not erase.

In slumber, dreams seem distant, there is no alibi
The desire of conviction, that the heart cannot deny
Soon finds a place among the stars that shine within my soul
Fallen on the heartache of a pain felt long ago.

My thoughts have traced a path inside my troubled mind
With only emptiness there is an open wound to find
The barriers been breached by a simple memory
Shaken by the mindless thoughts of love eternally.

Faith has found resistance by a heart that lost the war
Stumbled in persistence it now lays upon the floor
Of souls that drown inside the many pools of empty dreams
Scattered in the ashes, when you ripped my heart from me.

This was an amazing write. It had great imagery and I love how it shows that love hangs on no matter how long. That was a good point.
    Good job!
