Dear Love (Gay Poem)

by Michael   Jan 2, 2007

Dear Love,

Are you lost?

Because every time you look down aimlessly,
memories visit me
but none are ever pleasant.

Now, my breath shivers
and m-m my speech stutters,
but my hearts still pounds
like the steady beat of drinking my own words.

If you need directions,
go left of my "first lovers,"
swerve around the feeling of worthless
and then you should go straight.

Without you,
sadness has become the path I walk,
hopelessness is the broken clock
depression is the permanent stitch in my heart.

Come back soon,
Anonymous Lover

This poem strikes me very dear...

This poem basically describes how difficult it was me to find my sexuality for 3 years. I suffered depression and tried to commit suicide an amount of times. But when I found out I was gay, I turned out much happier :D

    So please comment and enjoy!
