Dear Broken Heart

Dear broken heart I promise to pray
that god will heal your pain so you don't hurt another day
I know that your wounds are just too much to bare
I know that life has been so unfair

I now there will be scars once your pain heals
But those scars represent a love that was for real
Dear broken heart I know I gave you away
but back with me from now on is where you will stay

I will not give you away again
I will not betray you cause you are my friend
I will not put you through such heartache like before
Because love for me has walked out the door

So dear broken heart lets make a mends
that I will not fall for another man to hurt you again
I will keep you to myself so that I stay alive
because to have you stomped on, I would rather die

    Hi Cathy, very nice job on this poem, but you would not stop reading because one book was bad, the same as you should not stop loving, because one love went wrong. I have been down that road, and loneliness is a terrible place to be, so love again and take your chances, it might just be that you find the one true lov. good luck Harry
