She's Dying Inside

by ashleeey   Feb 19, 2007

Beautiful scars,
Skin deep.
Sweet memories.
Not enough to keep.

Broken heart,
Ruffled hair.
Swollen eyes,
And nobody cares.

Pouting lips,
Ripped jeans.
Overworked mother,
Doesn't know what this means.

Crazy thoughts,
Attempted suicide.
Emotional fits,
She just wants to hide.

Listless eating,
Silent crying.
Lonely nights,
Because inside she's dying.

A profound piece with a strong message. Nicely structured and good use of rhyme. Try extending the sentences; it will turn out to read more effectively. Well done :)
