I Know Your Gone

I'm past the love, I'm past the hope
so why am I still sad, and not able to cope
I know its over and I should look at the future ahead
but nothing in this world could take away the memories of every word we said

I know its long gone, theres no way of starting an old flame
I know you had your priorities, and things for us had changed
But something deep inside me, still hurts when I see your face
my heart starts beating faster and my pulse begins to race

I know I should move on and let go of the past
if god wanted us to be together, our relationship would have last
so maybe theres other things our future has in store
I know I'll never find out, unless I let go of what I had before

Even though were friends and you still know how to make me smile
this lonely heart of mine still feels in denial
And listening to it just seems to bring me down
it takes away my laughs and only leaves me with a frown

I guess thats what love can do, when you felt it for so long
when it finally leaves you, everything else feels like its gone
But I know our reasons and its true we couldn't be together
So why do I feel like I lost the best part of me forever
