Silent Tears

(This poem was written a while ago)

I cry these silent tears
When no ones there to see
I think these quiet fears
With no one there, to comfort me

I hide these secret dreams
Where no one cares to see
The pain that is inside my soul
Hidden deep inside of me

And behind this mask of blankness
Lurks the feelings no one sees
And behind this hidden barrier
My emotions stay with me

And though I may stand tall
Among family and peers
When the sun goes down and darkness falls
I cry these silent tears
