Simply Biblical

by Sherry Lynn   Jul 7, 2007

Oh Father I beg of thee
Grant me peace
Then take away my envy

Protect me Father
From myself
I just might fail
And let you down

A prayer often spoken
Never unheard
Gods response is always simple
Yet often gone ignored

My child, listen closely to these words
Peace was given long ago, but you must first accept it
The envy you have is washed away; if only you will let it

Protection was granted
From enemies abroad
The day my Son gave his life
On that unforgotten cross

My child hear my plea
No matter the wrong you have caused
I will always forgive thee
All you have to do is ask.
