PERFECT. . . OR MAYBE not

by TaNyabAbEE   Jul 16, 2007

Perfect smile on my face,
not a hair that's out of place.
My shell is perfect, so intact,
but my heart's been beaten w/ a bat.

Perfect cover, playing safe,
never steal to 2nd base.
Keeping quiet, don't dare to speak,
afraid my weaknesses are all you seek.

Perfect outside, but crumbling in,
adult body, emotions as a kid.
Everything is NOT okay, can't u tell?
I'll trip & stumble, I tripped & fell.

Perfect me. . .or maybe not,
tell the truth, a way long shot.
Like me as ME, nobody else,
emotions inside, I haven't felt.
