Haunting Chase

by Sherry Lynn   Sep 14, 2007

Death lurking nearby
Stalking victims
Innocents at stake
Silently claiming lives

Wives without husbands
Children without fathers
Sisters without brothers
All in the blink of an eye

Wailing tears fall
Families shattered
Eternally grieving
Clinging one to another

Eternally preying
Constantly nearby
Ultimately death takes all
Some without warning

I thought this was a very nice and very powerful and emotion poem, it was sort of a short poem, but every emotion was portrayed in those few stanzas, well done
