I love you,

by silvershoes   Jan 20, 2008

Budapest is not so far when
Your tenderness is formed behind
A thin film of clarity, if I could just
Peel back the distance.

I think I'll give love its time to bloom
To loom, hanging with the star shine
Dipping with the crescent moon, tipping
Slipping little remnants of moon dust
Across and through the seas...
Separating your hand from mine, and
Though your reach is longer,
It seems not long enough.

We spread our fingertips
Kissing keys that read melodies,
Beautiful and empty enough to fill
Our hearts like rice--
Immediate satisfaction, receding
Rapidly once the water weight digests
And wires cease to send their messages of
I love you,

Come back soon.

Speedier the go, closer the end. Love is demonstrated kindness.
