A friends sad HEART ðŸ'"

by Kayla Heinze   Aug 31, 2014

He's had a past that no one can understand
They all seam to push away and let go,
While he's still holding on people don't even know
He's cried, alone, where no one could see
Crying about a horrific memory
He hid in the shadows hoping to disappear
For meeting someone was one of his biggest fears
He's kind, and strong
Yet he thinks he's so wrong
A smile that lights up my world, when I think mine is falling apart
He's so far away but he has my heart
He has the care for so many, he's filled with love
Even though at times it's hard to be bright when the sun shines above
But a girl here loves him no matter what he's done
He's out of the shadows and put away his gun
His life will live to the fullest with his friends and a long term wife
Because he's ready to achieve his dreams and start his life.

Story behind this poem, one of my friends who I have known for quite a few years now, has been through a lot. We were writing each other poetry one night and he said I couldn't write one based upon how he feels. I had gotten done writing this poem and sent it to him, he began to cry and said I hit it spot on. I love this poem and I missy friend he moved away and I haven't seam him in a year...
