Buried Beneath Blackness

by Baby Rainbow   Jun 11, 2016

I never thought she could have
a colder heart than mine,
but without a heart of concrete stone,
how could she ever abandon me this alone?

Her abandonment was my wake up call,
a painful reminder that opposites do not attract,
and I am opposite to every single being
that lives upon this planet.

I made it this far without burying my heart,
but things keep changing every day,
and you used to promise
that never would you leave me.

So excuse me please,
for I no longer comply to the rules of love,
and I bury my heart in the blackness
where it shall remain forever unseen.
