Please and thank you

Live A Lie

The things I've seen are enough
to make me yank these eyes
from head and socket
and cover them with thick
layers of blindness. Just enough
to make the whispers
I write down scream out loud.

But I'd never tell a soul

Who would listen?

I can hear the words
of those that still despise me
playing a little ditty in
the cracks of my
brain. HA! I broke
the mold, beat the system
I'm the psycho and you
can't contain me.

Does it make you puke?
It should.

I win, always will, always have.
I'm full of it,
whatever it may be.
Not sure actually.
I just know I'm overflowing
with toxic waste
paste a label on my forehead
for the world to see
"Warning" is all it should say.
Get too close and you'll see why.

I'm sorry if I'm speaking too loud
I want to make sure
everyone hears me. Not just
you but the people you
can't see or don't
want to admit are real.

I can see them...hear them too.

Angels on the Moon

Tell me all your thoughts about the
stars that fill the moon lit skies,
dreams of an happy ever after.
Goals unaccomplished, I lay here,
wondering what will spark in ending.
Final breaths slowly rattle my bones,
shakily released by an unwilling mind.

I believe in those distant angels on the moon. Do you?

Crisp white sheets wrap my body,
broken down by years of worry.
Who ever knew I'd end up here,
after lengthy promises of "I'll be fine,
don't worry about me." Silent pleadings.
My eyes take one last look around
before closing one final time.

I believe in a life after death, that it's all true. Do you?

Moniters show my slowing heart beat,
lines, once rigid, calm into a flat line.
A silent prayer, the cry of alarms.
My eyes wander over the scene.
Bodies moving quickly over mine,
feeble attempts to revive my soul.
I turn away, walking into the clouds.

I wasn't afraid of dying; leaving everything behind. Are you?

It's quiet, much too quiet
I almost feel alone
It's weird how I can say that
while knowing, "This is Home."

No little hands reach out
No feet run cross the floor
No tiny pleading voices
begging, "Just once more."

With the house no longer sticky,
and everything whiped clean
it almost feels deserted
"Do you know that I mean?"

When there's nothing left to trip on
'cause's all been put away
The house is rather empty
I don't know what else to say

How can I explain to you
T'someone who'd never see
Just how much I need my kids
and how much they need me

I'm not going to preach to you
That all kids are perfect or smart,
but each one of my children
holds a big piece of my heart

I could go on forever,
but until my kids are grown
I gladly fight off nightmares
in this place I call, "My Home."

Its scarey how the one you love can hurt you so bad
You were so attached but he moved on like you were a fad
Now your unexpectedly stuck trying to pull yourslef together
You thought you were were stuck like glue for now and forever

He already has a new girl who's fingers are interlocked in his hand
Now that he's gone your stuck in what seems like another land
Think back to when he broke you poor heart
He was so selfish he helped himself to the biggest part

Its 4 a.m. and your still struggling to get to sleep
Giving up hope you've already counted 1000 sheep
He was your lover and your very best friend
Its funny how people who say their there for life still leave in the end

Sorry everyone that I'm a day late but I was dragged into a rather tedious day of party planning and preparation. Okay so I loved everyone's poems but sadly I must choose.... so...
