    The Man and the Boy on the Moon
    by dollwithafrown

    Midnight lights and blueberry skies
    match the smile on your face
    and the twinkle in your eyes.
    Forever we sit there, thinking out loud;
    between the neon stars
    and the golden clouds.

    But I grip onto your hand as I'm afraid to fall;
    the world may be ending and we won't know at all,
    but for now that's okay, I'll take it in my stride,
    because there's nothing more precious than a father's pride.

    You try to play music, but it doesn't seem to work
    and even though you're angry, I can't help but smirk.
    You notice and laugh, it doesn't matter today;
    this moment between us makes it up, perfectly.

    Your hands are like rock heads, old and disguised
    and mine in comparison is little-boy sized -
    but held together like a heart, we're one in the same;
    by blood, by bond, by skin and by name.

    Blueberry nights and midnight skies
    match the twinkle on your face
    and the smile in your eyes.
    Together we sit there, grinning out loud;
    between the golden stars
    and the neon clouds.

    --

    The poem subject isn't really about the moon itself, but rather a father/sons' relationship. The whole concept is supposed to be about the moon being their special place, which tightens their bond. I hope this is okay. :)

    Sparkled Skies

    Look above, to sparkled skies
    A comet shot by arrows
    To the east of the moon
    And to the north of the trees
    A comet's shine dazzles

    The tail so white of melting ice
    So close to the suns intense heat
    Starts to wither away a little
    Until darkness starts to fall
    And leave us with that empty void

    But as the skies begin to brighten
    With the mornings dawn
    I will know the comet is alive
    In spirit more than reality
    For it showed me more than shine itself

    Come Crashing Down

    People talk about Princes
    on white horses, waiting
    to be swept away....
    I'm fine with you my dear
    and I hope we can just stay
    here on this marble floor
    glancing at the chandelier
    Your soft hands cover my eyes
    and you whisper
    "I'm never gonna disappear"

    I don't need a falling star to
    make my wish upon....
    Become my comet and come
    crashing down on me.
    Rock the world, shake my heart
    and you'll know this is
    where you should be.

    I've had my fair share of
    rainbows with colors galore
    so many broken pots of
    gold, I don't want anymore.
    Enough stars in my closet
    to keep it lit for years.
    Done too much planet surfing
    I'm better off here

    With the heat of your
    passion burning bright
    as you hold me like forever
    it seems we will be okay
    just you and me. All I ask
    is that you be that glowing
    comet in the distance
    crashing down on me tonight.

    *Hope this isn't too long*

    My one and only friend
    by Mask of Pain

    I look up in the sky and you're always there. behind same clouds, or just hinding from everyone else. When I cried every night you where there, the only thing that was bright in my night. When i had noone to talk to , I would talk to you, then I would imagen you would talk back, saying everthing will be ok. But when day came you where gone. I had the day for putting you away. You are a dear friend, you are my moon.

    * I hoped you liked it.*

    Slave of Her Kingdom.

    She is getting tired;
    she can feel the intense pressure --
    she does the same thing everyday;
    the days and nights all seem to blur.

    She can hear the demands
    of the millions of voices --
    she is allowing them to live yet
    no break is given; too many choices:

    here, they awaken first;
    my rays must shine there quickly.
    Here, its December;
    my rays mustn't hit powerfully.

    She is getting tired of
    the routine that is her life --
    the seasons are too much to handle,
    the weather and the people, a strife.

    The weary sun is simply too tired,
    she wants to think of herself, but a slave
    she is of the planets and animals --
    her freedom she can only crave.

    I feel sooo guilty that I never judged. My grandmother died and I had to go outta town for the funeral and haven't been in the poetry mood since her death. I sincerely apologize and will get on it asap. Thank you for your patience and not hassling me about it.
