Superficial Writings

Hoping for the sun...
Isn't this always the dream
when creative thoughts lay dead--
inebriated in toxic waste filled
beyond the rim with mediocrity.

Talk to me inklings, I know
you exist somewhere in my
hazy mind. I know you're
waiting, itching to be pulled from
the surface. Obscurity is the name
of this realm we call writers block.

No words will form with mild
integrity used to craft them..
Nothing will amount to anything
ever if we keep rotting away
with last years work. The moon
outshines us in layers of slurred
catatonic shadows once again--

I want a new idea to arise
hoping for the sun...

I haven't participated in a contest in while; hopefully this'll get my creative juices flowing :)

Coffin of hope, please.

Coffin of Hope

A self-fullfilling prophecy consumes my mind.
A growing discomfort grinds my find.

The bind of my body unwinds in kind.

Blind; I signed this contract with the Pope.
Confined now to a Coffin of Hope.

-- There is a bit of form to the poems structure. The last word of the first line is rhymed twice then three times then twice again and back to once, altering position as the poem progresses.

Scars are Souvenirs

Clear blue skies
with bunny rabbit clouds.
Long green grass
where our tree house waits:

black flip off the landing
because she kissed you,
bandage for the body
because I had too.

Rebellious youth --
experimentation is key.
Late tired nights
where we party and drink:

hot angry mess--
hustle the other boy,
heal your wounds
hurting me again.

Sad endless days
dark circled, red eyes.
Suffocated atmosphere
where bleach is all consuming:

bottle the emotions,
breakdown when she leaves us --
bloody bathroom floors. Then I
bind your being whole

Yet again

Hoping for the sun, and this supposed crime please:) shall be in within the next few days

This Supposed Crime

I have spent countless hours planning,
drew pictures, crunched numbers,
the time has come

It's mine to do alone, no one else knows
can't jeopardize all that I have done.
I'm on my own

Break free from captivity, first step.
bars can't deprive souls from escaping,
breathe in fresh air

Find the perfect weapon of destruction,
It's been left untouched since its last mission,
Grab it and go

Anxiety is building now, chewing my heart.
breathing becomes rapid now, getting difficult
At the hard part

Tiptoe silently, let sleeping beasts lie
not time to utilize the weapons power,
Just get through this

At the dreaded mountain, been practicing
Ease down slowly, keeping balance
Don't make any noise

Time for the weapon, secret power unleashed
beam of light streaks like the Godly heavens
Oops, woke the cat

At last at the destination, quite a journey
pull up a chair, climb onto the counter
At the cookie jar

Risk forgetting all thats been, thanks.

Death: 'Risk forgetting all thats been,
take your chance and cross the beam.
On the other side of your dreams
are sights you have never seen.'

Man: 'Let me live one last memory
with her before the glass Armour
of reality smashes on the floor
of consequence. I want to bury

myself in her arms, soak
in all reasons to be alive
before leaving the hive
of existence. She'll joke

and make me laugh like a child
who has seen humor in life
for the first time. My wife!
she cries out in the wild

like an animal in heat.
She is so beautifully toned,
her groans are finely honed
and her lips taste so sweet.

Let me waltz with her soul
dance in the trance of young
loves romance until my lungs
are tired. I want to kiss the mole

on her hip, reach up and brush
her hair back from her cheek,
embrace her as i grow weak.
Let me hear her sing; 'Hush

little baby, don't you cry'...
Thats where I want to be
when you come for me.
I don't want to be shy.

I don't want to forget
her. I'll drift too the abyss
as she lays down the softest kiss
a man could ever get.'

amid green scenes of fresh gardens.
My arid lands will be planting colorful forests

behind escaping clouds.

Hoping for the Sun
Beautiful, white, powder dancing on life
No
cold, wet, disguised unhappiness
snow

remembering days lost long ago
I remember the beaches,
that internal feeling
that brought pure joy

days gone by, swing sets and slides
rays that shone like an answer from the heavens
warmth that spills from your insides
hands held for the first time

experiencing life, exciting and new
virgin adventures to roam
freedom was the key
ecstasy was serene

the sound of waves crashing
laying on the sand, background noise
to be out at four am at fourteen
to feel rebellious, owning the world

life was sublime,
met pure love,
only to have snow take it away
days are long without you

life is cold, December snow
all alone, best enemy is pain
memories of summer haunt the soul
while I sit hoping for the sun
