North wind

A North Wind ghosts, severe, through exalted tombs of ice
In a wasteland stricken badly by an all-consuming blight
Glacial shelves rise up out of long, unhindered slumber
The eyes of the Beast roll slow, encased in stunted Arctic tundra

Pack ice drifts the void, windswept message to be sent
Moaning frozen floes weep into the Abyss without an end
Cold sea water tears birth blinding crystals in the chasm
The heart of the Beast pounds slow within primordial phantasm

Colossal seracs rise, ascend, collapse into the void
Unforgiving Arctic vast, to destroy and be destroyed
Caverns add long bitter howls to the boundless funeral dirge
And the Beast, bereaved, dreams requiems, baneful, bleak, unheard

Colliding ice to pinnacle, all millennia in the making
Frozen sea, from harsh North Wind, it's guttural, sad, soft ululating
A mammoth shifting in the earth has triggered memories long
The Beast, almighty, emerges from the void on timeless paws

The Beast, ice god, scans the sky
Dormant for so long
Called to rise by ancient oath
Bound to immortal song

Guardian of the sacred North

Protector of the Arctic Dawn
