If Elephants Went to School

It would be such fun to see
An elephant in school
I'd let him sit in front of me
In fact, that'd be the rule

I'd never have to see the teacher
And she'd never look at me
When she would look my way
The elephant is all she'd see.

I could sleep in class all day
She'd never hear me snore
Because I'd make the elephant
Tap his tail upon the floor.

I think that it would be real neat
When we went to lunch
He'd fill all of our glasses
With water from his trunk.

Oh the fun we'd have at recess
In you, I can confide
All us kids would climb upon
His back and take a ride.

Such fun we'd have if it were true
And It would be so great
if elephants were allowed to go
I'd go to school every day.
