Poetic Tragedy

by Milla   Oct 21, 2008

What a tragedy
What a sad sad story

His scent wont fog the air no longer
His lips wont linger on yours

His touch wont tickle your skin
And his gaze wont stare into your soul.

His voice wont dance in your ear drums
His walk wont send you in a daze

His number will never show on your phone
His aim wont pop up at night.

His emails wont overflow your mailbox
His notes wont clog up your floor

His name wont escape your lips
And his love wont fill your heart.

But look on the bright side
my sad sad lover

His lies wont cut your skin
And his deceit wont make you weak.

His word wont stab your heart
And his cheating lips wont touch yours.

But still. But still
What a tragedy
What a sad sad story

Very beautiful write. I really enjoyed it. I thought it flowed well and it just all fit together.

  • The end was not what I expected but even more powerful.I can relate personally as I know many other son here can for we have all suffered a broken heart or will at some point and time.5/5
