There

by silvershoes   Nov 2, 2008

Looking from my window
Straining hard to see
The lights in your caravan
A thousand leagues from me

You're speaking about music
I'm thinking of your mind
You're writing a new song
About love of a different kind

Wide-awake and hours fleeting
It's dark from where I am
Trying hard to find the words
Hopeless, but I give a damn

How do I explain my needs?
What has loneliness turned me to?
He's found a place as second best
But won't take the place of you

When steel wings find me there
Let's spend a night together
Talking about running away
About islands and the weather

When there's nothing more to say
Understand, you understood
Be there for me to feel
Be there and everything is good
