Trapped

by Gabby   Mar 22, 2009

Trapped, like a bird in its cage
Singing miseries and woes
My wings are clipped and roughly chipped
Cursing love as it goes

My heart is like an empty clam
Closed with nothing to bear
Cold and used, my love abused
He caught me unaware

I never really was the type
To abandon all my senses
But loves unkind, it left me blind
Now I face the consequences

Trapped, like a bird in its cage
Staring up at the sky
I face my fears, hold back my tears
He will never see me cry
