Dexter

I wrapped you neatly up in a
cellophane coat
after an intravenous injection
of horse tranquilizer
to your tender
pink
throat.

When you awoke, what a
grand surprise! to find
photographs of your victims and
a fist slick
above your pounding constricted chest;
my freckled fingers clenching
an
icepick.

Terror struck your expression
like a clock strikes midnight,
and we both knew it was
over.

Down came Harry's law,
icepick and all.

I see, we have more of your dark side in this poem. I liked the imagery you used as it was very helpful for me to see what exactly was happening. The story of the poem I found interesting and compelling. You always seem to have a different type of writing and it is evident in this piece as the flow of the poem blends from one line to the other. In all I found this a very enjoyable piece and I love the creativity you use to write these poems. Great job and keep writing.
