Frozen.....

by XxxWordsOfWisdomxxX   Sep 11, 2011

Oxygen barely reaches your lips
Time starts to pass and you become frozen
The clouds laugh and trees whisper your name
And the thunder starts to roll in the pouring rain

Your chest heaves as you open your mouth,
You see your frost breath and begin to doubt
Your love is gone,
And hell has frozen over
You're carrying your pain
Upon your shoulders

Mommy left you alone
And Daddy doesn't know
So you're left to play out
In the cold

Frosty isn't magic
And Santa isn't real
No one understands
How you really feel

All the other kids,
They laugh and play,
They don't know the meaning
Of yesterday

You fell through the ice,
And you slipped too deep
Now hypothermia
Is taking over your feet

Snow is red,
And your toes are blue,
You are dead,
And no one cares about you.

You forgot to breathe,
And you left a note,
You hung yourself
By a long, coarse rope.

"Daddy I breathed
And the air wasn't for me,
So I killed myself,
And I'm finally free

I loved you
And I hope you know
When you see the blood
All over the snow

That I wanted this,
It was my only escape
From this judgemental world
And all of the hate

I'm in Heaven now,
Don't you cry
When you read this note
And all of my secrets, you find.

I couldn't take it anymore
It was all too much
Even the ice
Was hot to the touch

The sky was grey
And the clouds were above
All I got was hate
When all I needed was a hug

I think this says everything,
That you never knew
It tells all the pain
That you never listened to

I hope you remember
Who caused all of this
And I'm pretty sure
That I won't be missed

This is my goodbye note
That you won't care to read
This is the girl inside
No one ever wanted to meet

And if, by chance, anyone is sad
They're the only friend
That I've ever had

This is the end now,
I know it was long,
Here's to everyone
Who did me wrong."

Your friends pretend to cry,
But they really don't mind
Because all they wanted
Was for you to say goodbye

You're lowered in the grave,
And the sky is grey
There isn't much else
Anyone can say

You didn't breathe
Your head was up in space
Your friends ran away,
And you've been replaced

You're six feet under,
Still faking your smile,
And they wonder,
If you were just a lie

A few months later,
Summer is here,
The grass is fresh,
And the sky is clear

But the air is always filled,
With another's breath,
So you took your life,
And you left

You've been forgotten,
Like you always knew you would
You went and died
Like they told you you should

You breathed it in
And you didn't like the taste,
Another teenage life
Gone to waste

You could have had children
You could have had love
You could have gotten married
Or gotten a job

You didn't see a reason to live,
So you died,
And didn't breathe it in

You were one of many,
You were never alone
You just never realized
And they'd never know

This is the end of my poem,
In memory of those young lives,
Who were taken
By suicide.
