    I have so been itching to comment on this since I read it.. but what a pain to comment on phones. lol

    I love this and have nominated it. I felt it was really personal and VERY emotional, two of my favorite pieces of poetry. What an outlet.

    "your absence
    has enlighten me,"

    Enlighten should be 'enlightened' here.

    "you taught me both lessons;

    I could live with you,
    I could live without you..

    but this time,
    I make the choice. "

    This ending here is absolutely amazing. So often we realize hey, I can live with or without you, and once that is figured out you get to decide. You get the upper hand and you have control over your feelings and who is allowed to tamper with them. I thought that was written beautifully! Lovely as always m'dear :)

    Your absence
    has enlightened me,
    like your presence once did

    ^ yet another incredible choice of words yaki. Seriously, I will probably start a book of quotes that come from your poems. This hit home for me. And you know what, sometimes when an absence enlightens you its for the better! Its a part of moving on. It doesn't have to be looked at as bad. People are in our lives for seasons. This is what I've recently learned. I loved it!
    Love you girl! stay strong :) Your sadness is actually inspiring me to write something!

    Yaki, this was heartbreakingly beautiful!

    "your absence
    has enlightened me,
    like your presence once did."
    ^Wow. WOW. This speak volumes to me, as I'm sure it did to many. You said so much in so little of words that it truly just blew me away.

    I read this again, and again...the more I read it, the more I fell in love.

    Flawless.

    "I can live with you
    I can live without you"

    The flow was flawless, surely nominated,:)

    Yaki,
    So much emotion packed into this powerful poem. I believe it takes a true heart to be enlightened by the occurences in our life and to understand that you can live with something or without. AWESOME and congrats on the win.

    WOW! Wow, wow, wow. I was not expecting to open up this poem and be blown away.

    Isn't it strange that when we experience loss, we crumple in on ourselves and self destruct? ...when what we should do is pull ourselves up by the bootstraps and give ourselves a kick in the butt. It looks like you are strong enough to do the latter now, but it's taken you a few tries, and it's taken you a few failures. What's beautiful is that you have grown, you have learned your lessons, and you are willing to put into practice your new wisdom with quiet dignity.

    Remember Yakzz - Don't be your worst enemy, for you are your best friend in the end, and when you give love away, make sure you keep a little love for yourself :)

    "your absence
    has enlightened me,
    like your presence once did.

    you taught me both lessons;

    I could live with you,
    I could live without you.."

    Perfection.
