Beautiful imagery /picture of home that distinghes a house from 'home'.the 'dirt road' is contrasted with the 'yellow daisies' -the beauty of nature emphasize the sweetness of home. Well done !

    Oh wow,

This poem is so beautiful. I never read what it was like before you have made the edits to it but I absolutely love what you have written here.

I find that it is so amazing how our sens of smell can heighten our other senses. It brings back memories, can make us feel sick and yes even make us feel at home.

Everytime I drive passed my old primary school there is a certain smell and when it hits me it brings me back to the days. Reminds me what it was like then.

You have really painted this picture so well. I love the metaphors and the images are spectaular. I love the part where you drive on the dirt road and the wildflowers bend in your passing. Fantastic.

Well done with this poem TJ. I love the way it has made me feel when reading it

This isnt exactly about home or just a specific array of memories.

Its about the journey from work to home or any other starting point to home. Its about enjoying the view on the way to home. Its about the author describing his enthusiasm towards life. Mentioning the ambiance of life along the path to home.

And the last two paras partly speak of life itself. Dark clouds and rain could indicate the bad/dark/sorrowful days. And just like the dark clouds gave way to a clear sky, the bad days will make way for the good days to come.

Dude, you wrote a poem about driving back home. And the detail is astounding.

    Very well written bro.

This sounds like some sort of country song... like Miranda Lambert's song (The House That Built Me) or Blake Shelton's... I can't decide.

I like the scenery you've drawn at first describing spacial-ly the many aspects of the country side. lovely!

This poem was a delight to read! It really was like a breath of fresh air. I love the imagery your create, especially with nature. There's something beautiful in your metaphors.

    I love this part:
"winds share secrets as they sway and
whisper softly from one to another."
    >> love the idea of the wind sharing secrets!

And I love "Home sweet home" in the end.

    Great job!
